Wai Lin Tse is a photographer based in Barcelona.MOSSLESS: What was your childhood like? Where did you grow up?WAI LIN TSE: I remember myself as a little introvert, I was always trying to fit in as a result of living between cultures, during school I lived with my catalan mother in a small town near Barcelona, I was a only child and my mom worked till late so I took loads of extra school classes like drawing, painting, crafts, ceramics, ballet, etc….. then I had my other life: when I was off school I lived in Oxford UK with my father and the rest of the chinese family on his side. I have two brothers and two sisters and we used to hang around home drawing, sewing and building things with our hands. I feel like I had 2 childhoods because of the 2 different lives I was living but that they were still bonded by my will to create things.ML: Talk about your experience with working for Urban Outfitters.WLT: It was a incredible experience, to be part of the communication of such a strong brand and to work with their team to build up their look for those specific catalogs is really enritching, I also felt they really respect the photographers for who they are and want to make the most of it. ML: What’s most important in your life?WLT: Health, love and to be satisfied with what I do.ML: Did you see that new Sofia Coppola film?WLT: No, not yet, but I generally love her films so I’m looking forward to it.
